Dark having finally found the children with his instruments paused at the feel of mental shouting from back where the others stood, turning quickly he moved back in time to feel the last few words of the song and Idhara stood there a smirk on her face, as she tried to leave he moved again and grasped her arm tightly, pulling her back a glare on his face, he glanced to where Mirriam and Light stood in shock st their daughter before turning to see a tearful Sparrow, the Gypsy cheif stood reassuringly behind her, Surik and his son Van
"Surik, I know today was supposed to be a cheerful day when you would allow your daughters to dance and choose a suiter for their heart but I fear that this young girl here has decided to ruin it because of ill placed hatred for others," he apologised indicating Idhara with a small incline of his head
Surik nodded sadly, "Idhara would you like to know a truth of us Gypsies? All of us are as you would term outsiders, we are the exiled of our countries, here in our camp are dragons, elves, vampires, banshees, humans and a few centaurs, all living together in peace. If you hate the idea of being an outsider so much then know that you too are an outsider, the man holding your arm as I have been told by my ancestors and from the texts of the past is the same man who founded the gypsy camp, he is more one of us than you are, his brother, your father helped him, Aqua Sono and Sparrow are also part of our family and therefore are not the outsiders you claim them to be. However your actions towards Sparrow cannot go unpunished, I hereby exile you from this camp for a period of six months, during this time I hope you can come to accept everything that it means to be a gypsy, to accept others with open arms heedless of race, age, time or affiliation,"
Dark frowned slightly thinking the punishment a little harsh but seeing the reasoning behind it so standing a little straighter and still with his grip on Idhara's arm he spoke
"Surik if I may, I ask that I be allowed to bring her to Dragonic Isle, there the dragons can teach her ways of controlling her anger and how to accept others," he asked knowing that the dragons were the most accepting aside from the Gypsies
"Let go of me!" Idhara glared at Dark and yanked her arm away from him with a small growl coming from her throat. It was the tiger alternate form coming through in her anger. "I only sabotaged her because of her sister.....! The pathetic half-breed of an Empress....." Her gaze flashed to Hecate her thoughts running wild. There is a plot against you. Hecate gasped and walked over to Sparrow, wrapping her arms around her younger sister. Vin glared at Idhara, keeping a protective arm around Sparrow.
Vin shook his head. "Idhara..... you were supposed to be the next fortune teller..... your gypsy name foretells it. Star Child. But, what you have done tonight..... on the night that my baby sisters are allowed to dance and choose suitors..... I think you have even sabotaged your own future hear. However, I do think exile is somewhat harsh, given the time period".
Idhara glared at Surik, Vin and the rest of the troupe. "Fine... I'll leave", she screeched before turning on Dark. "And I wouldn't leave with a scaley if it was the last chance in Borghild". Hecate hardened her gaze on Idhara and walked up to the girl and promptly slapped her.
The young girl stood there in a state of shock. "HOW DARE YOU!" Hecate screeched, her silver eyes turning black with anger. "How dare you refer to Belsago as a Scaley! No one....EVER uses that term for dragons. It is an ugly term. How dare you! A Star Child.... you're no star child, your heart is filled with black hate. Perhaps Dragonic Island might be the best place for you..... and if you refuse to go, I'll drag you off to Edora BEHIND MY HORSE!"
Sparrow stared at her sister in shock, taking hold of Vin's hand tightly. Then she spoke up. "Idhara..... I do not want you to be banished.... but Vin and Surik are right. You have a lot to learn". Idhara glared at Sparrow. "As if you would know..... you're half-breed..... and a clone. You no nothing about me". "I know more about the hardships that you will face in Edora once my sister drags you there! The pain you will face, the confinement to the jail cells....... You know nothing of the world beyond that lake that protects this Isle. I should know..... I've faced it. Just as you will if you are taken to Edora..... you will be forced to fight for us".
Idhara glared, slowly turning into a tiger. A few gypsies backed away from her in fear. Sparrow kept her gaze..... but ended her side of the argument. Then Hecate spoke up again, more calmly than before. "Perhaps being by yourself for tonight will ease the pain you have caused here and settle your stray mind. Maybe you have a chance of not being exiled...." That was the last straw for Idhara and she instantly turned into a black and white tiger with half a mind to attack Hecate, roaring loudly. However, Hecate was half a heart beat faster... throwing down her weapons to change into her Life Dragon form.... roaring twice as loud.
Idhara's tiger form stood there with its head held back, neck bending backwards.... her legs spread to keep her balanced and her eyes wide with shock. The empress had a Scaley form? This was just too strange. The girl didn't know what to do.... stay, or run. Perhaps confinement to her caravan would be best.... Vin thought randomly. No exile, but alone. And Sparrow will not be hurt again. I couldn't bear that.... not Sparrow. I cant bear to see her pretty face cut up with pain...
A stunned Idhara was escorted in her tiger form off to her caravan and it wasn't long before the festive spirit returned, but the girls act had all but been forgotten. But everyone was determined to lift Sparrow's spirits and reassure their trust in the woman. With a heavy sigh Hecate turned back to her humanoid form, her silver eyes showed her regret at the change of form to have been shown to the Gypsies.
But she knew they had known about it.... she was bound to have a dragon form since Delenn did. And Hecate was her sister after all. The sister of the Sparrow. The woman smiled as the music started to play once again, her foot tapping to the beat of the deer skin drum. Then she remembered the song and dance that Light and Dark had performed with Mirriam, and a burning sensation trailed down Hecate's spine. Was she jealous? Jealous that Dark had sung that particular song to another woman?
A young tanned man walked over, seeing the glare in her eyes. "Want to get back at him?" he asked with a chuckle, offering his arm, gesturing towards the circle. Hecate smirked, shooting a quick glance at her 'beloved' before taking the mans arm and walking with him towards the dance. Another tanned man greeted the pair and the idea was formulated.
Every year the two men normally performed a dance and song with their sister.... but their sister had fallen ill. And Hecate was more than obliged to participate. The men separated and Hecate moved to one side of the circle with the older of the two brothers. Then her partner started to sing, which caused the music to change. "When marimba rhythms start to play Dance with me, make me sway Like a lazy ocean hugs the shore Hold me close, sway me more".
The man pulled Hecate into the circle, dancing with her as he moved. Hecate smiled brightly, and faked a adoring look into his eyes. The man returned the gaze with a grin before spinning her away, making sure that the woman's skirts span. Once she stopped spinning and bent backwards, snaking her arms to keep her balance. "Like a flower bending in the breeze Bend with me, sway with ease When we dance you have a way with me Stay with me, sway with me".
Hecate stood up straight again, instantly being caught by the brothers arms, sending her into a spin under his arm before taking her for a turn around the dance circle at a Waltz. Hecate smirked teasingly. "Other dancers may be on the floor Dear, but my eyes will see only you Only you have that magic technique When we sway I go weak
I can hear the sound of violins Long before it begins Make me thrill as only you know how Sway me smooth, sway me now".
At that point Hecate broke away, dancing on her own for a moment before spinning into the chest of her first partner. She caught his chin with her fingers..... seemingly dragging him behind her, while he was in a dazed trance. Then she turned to face him, brushing his cheek with a kiss before rejoining her stealer. "I can hear the sounds of violins Long before it begins Make me thrill as only you know how Sway me smooth, sway me now".
Hecate laughed as the stealer snatched her hands into another Waltz, dancing past his brother.... Hecate tilting her head to the side as part of tradition. While the 'lover' glared, the 'stealer' smirked wickedly as if to say 'good luck winning'. The younger brother (stealer) allowed Hecate a moment to move away before he caught her again, continuing to dance with her..... Hecate plastered a look on her face that seemed to suggest that she was falling for him.
Then he partner stepped in and tore her away, taking her into a Tango that wiped the expression off the woman's face.... snapping her back to reality. "Other dancers may be on the floor Dear, but my eyes will see only you Only you have the magic technique When we sway I go weak
I can hear the sounds of violins Long before it begins Make me thrill as only you know how Sway me smooth, sway me now You know how Sway me smooth, sway me now".
Hecate and her partner stopped dancing, leaning in as if they were going to kiss, before the man turned his head away, stopping it and grinning at her crookedly as if to say 'payback'. Hecate played her part and gasped in shock.... which sent up a roar of laughter from the crowd, especially at the beaten expression of the brother. Then the trio burst into laughter, bowing to each other while Hecate curtsied.
The men thanked Aqua-Sono before she walked away to the small creek that served as the troupe's water. She knelt beside the waterway and swayed her hand back and forth in the current.... she hadn't been near a waterway by herself like this for a very long time.

Dark frowned after Hecate danced wondering what she was up to, but before he could confront her he was accosted by the eldest of Surik's daughters
"Belsago, may I request a song from thee to which me and my sisters may dance,"
"Of course Alana, which song would you like," he asked with a smile, grinning she leant down and whispered the name into his ear, she being almost 6 foot tall and Dark only 5 foot 4 inches, he nodded and waited for her to walk back to her sisters and dance partners before starting up a lively tune and singing
"There were three old gypsies came to our hall door They came brave and boldly-o One sang high and the other sang low And the Lady sang the raggle taggle gypsy-o
It was upstairs and downstairs the lady went Put on her suit of leather-o T’was a cry all around the door She’s away with the raggle taggle gypsy-o" he sang twirling round himself while Surik's daughter danced with their partners
"It was late that night when the lord came in Enquiring for his lady-o The servant girl replied to her lord She’s away with the raggle taggle gypsy-o
Oh then saddle for me my milk white steed my big horse is not speedy-o I will ride and I’ll seek me bride She’s away with the raggle taggle gypsy-o
Then he rode east and he rode west He rode north and south also But when he rode to the wide open fields It was there that he spied his lady-o" running forward he playfully snatched one of the drum from the musicians around him and began to play and dance around
Laughing happily as the song ended he quickly blended into the shadows drawing up around them and reappeared sat down beside Hecate
"So . . . flirting with young ones now are we?" he smiled as he looked across the water, knowing his brother would be entertaining the gypsies in his absense

Hecate turned her head to look at Dark out from under her eye lashes in a deadly glare. "Speak for yourself....." she muttered. Her voice was a combination of a Hiss and a Growl. It had been a trick she had learned during her days as an Assassin... leading a unit of tactical killers on various operations. She had been a Captain in the Assassin caste for a long time in Caitiff.... before a comrade had tried to kill her.
The voice was known as an 'Alpha Tone'. Normally a talent born into the Alpha's of the Werewolves..... but a few Vampires had managed to replicate it.... and in turn some Vampires had taught Hecate. It became part of leading Assassins.... they needed a forceful voice. And even now as Empress of Edora, Hecate still resorted to some of her old talents to lead the Minbari Warriors into battle.
Hecate hissed. "Dark..... you have to accept me as I am", she muttered, looking down at her clenched fists. "We both have a dark side to us, and I accepted you completely in spite of that. Noir, I'm sorry if I'm more than you bargained..... I can dance, I can sing.... I can fire and water. But I'm sorry if being an Empress is too much for you, compared to the simple life of these Gypsies...."
The woman turned her back to Dark, drawing her knees up under her chin. A small tear trickled from her eye. She did want to snap at Dark...... not while her heart and head were arguing. Her heart said 'forgive him' and her head said 'he deserves to be told off'.
In the end Hecate stood up and walked a few paces. "I don't know what to do Noir....." she muttered. "I was born Royalty. The Courts teach you Politics.... not how to love. And I failed at Love twice before....." The woman sniffed back a sob. It was at that point that she really missed her mother, Arina. She needed guidance.... help. She had 2501 years of life to count for.... and about 10 deaths and as many rebirths. But she was Immortal. And her memories were 2501 years to count..... but her mind and heart were only 25 years (because that was when she drank the blood of a Dragon). She was so young by standards.
Hecate turned to face Dark, but she continued to look at the ground beneath her bare feet instead. "Help me Noir....." she whispered. "I'm so lost. I love you so much.... then you go and dance and sing like that with Mirriam..... and my mind freezes. I don't know what came over me..... I just, hated you".

Dark gave a small sigh and stood, moving to stand behind her he moved his arms around her into a hug and rested his head on her shoulder
"Love is something you cannot be taught, it is something you learn through living life and experiencing it, you love your children yes? That wasn't taught to you, if your upbringing was similar to what I remember mine was then the Council would have tried to tell you that your children should be handled by nannies, you shouldn't involve yourself with them as it would detract time for sorting out the problems of the city, however we both ignored them and stuck by our children, this is love. But love for another that is not family is not something you can be taught, it is something you must find yourself. For you to be able to tell me this, that you were jealous when I danced with Mirriam is a sign that you are finding the meaning of love, I myself was inanely jealous when you danced with those other men," he said giving another small sigh
"I wanted to hurt them, which you know is my darkness lashing out, you've accepted me and you should know I've always accepted you, long before we became like this, I accepted you when we were just becoming friends and nothing you've ever done has changed my mind on that. Being an Empress doesn't change my feelings for you, and it never will, I love you for who you are, the only reason I danced with Mirriam is because when I'm dancing my magic sometimes acts on its own, and if you notice you'll see that she looks younger and healthier, my magic allowed her to live longer so she can spend more of her life with my brother, he like you doesn't know about love and I know for him this would be a good experience, I just wanted it to last a little longer for him," he said with a sad smile nuzzling his face into the back of her neck, letting her hair tickle his nose as he gave a low purr of pleasure
