Fighting – By all means, PLEASE. Hidden Realm is a site based around Magic and War. So Fighting is encouraged to the highest extent.

Deaths - No member is allowed to kill off a character without permission from ALL the Admins. And I mean ALL admins. This is counted in all situations where Death may be desired:

• Leaving on absence and do not wish to have dormant threads until you return
  
• Simply wish to ‘redesign’ your character.
  OR
  
• Simply do not wish to play THAT character anymore and wish to recycle the account for a new character.

War – This is a simple one to follow. When a Mass PM goes out saying that a War will be staged between two lands all members that are under the “Warrior” member groups must have their characters report for Battle. This is the condition of your choice of occupation.

Names –
A) All members are required to have a first and last name in their display name. If you do not have one by 2 weeks after joining you will be given one. Regardless if it is the same as your chosen name, it will be given to you.

B) If members do not have a name other than their user name as their display name one will be given to them. This comes into affect if the member has not applied for their character AND has not placed their desired character name into their Display name. Standard names will include John, Jane, Jackie, Chris, Rachel, Harlan, Romeo and Juliet.

Virtual Relationships – Relationships between characters are allowed, in fact they are encouraged because it allows for more areas of role play. However, we do ask that you keep the DETAILS clean. The things we do not allow are: sex scenes and rape. We do like to keep the site clean. However, rape and sex can be IMPLIED (knowledge that the act has occurred) but to write it is strictly taboo. If you wish to place one of those in, please do not describe it, instead when it comes to that “moment” please write *Time Skip* and then continue writing the events that happened afterwards.

Applications – This rule also falls under the category of Posting. When you apply for a character, you application must be accepted by BOTH the Admins, Kel and Emma, BEFORE you start posting.
The offical signs that you need to look out for are:

Use of the English Language – We simply ask that you treat the English language with respect and use it correctly. This includes no made up words and proper Grammar and Spelling. However, we do encourage descriptive writing in posts in the style of Henry Lawson (the famous Australian Bush Poet).

Language of the Realm – In this realm, English is a universal language so your character has the option of learning other Fictional languages. As a recap, the fictional languages are:

Satyra	Banshee language. A dialect involving a mixture of English words and screeching
Shade Harpy-tongue	The dialect of the Black-Wing Harpies. It is still Harpy-tongue... but it has a lot more swear words and screaming involved
Silver Harpy-tongue	The dialect of the White-Wing Harpies. It is still Harpy-tongue.... but involves a lot more politeness than the Shade Harpy-tongue dialect
Centauric	Involves words and some horsey sounds (ie. nickers, whinnies, etc.)
Duraish	The Dunadein are cousins of the Humans of Midgard. Duraish is a mix of English, French and Italian.

Profanity - No cussing, cursing, or using foul language. There are young adults on the forum. We don't want this site to look trashy, so keep the language clean. If you must curse... please put stars to replace the letters. (Eg. Sh*t, C**p, F***, etc.)
However, swearing is a little more accepted if the words are not used, and replaced with swearing in one of the fictional languages (ie. Swearing in Elvish. Eg. Ed' i'ear ar' elenea! (By the Sea and Stars!))

Posting Length - Like many RP Forums we do have a posting requirement for the length of each post. If you wish to start a thread, your post must have at least 3 strong paragraphs. A reply must consist of at least 2 strong paragraphs.

Double Posting - Prohibited everywhere except diaries, graphics galleries, stories. Rulers of countries are excused if they are doing notices. The Admins are also excused for any notices they need to do. But no other exceptions.

God Modding - God-Modding of other members characters is prohibited. Please allow others to decide what happens to their character.

This also includes the control of NPC's (non-playable characters) that other members have created. IF the character was NOT created in your post then you DO NOT take control of it.

In addition, taking control of other members Pets, Horses, Beasts, Powers AND Weapons is inevitably prohibited. It may be only minor... but it is still God-Modding. So you do not do it.

No Spamming - No Spamming means that you cannot post one word post, a letter or word per line, the same forum or post in more than 4 boards. Anyone caught spamming will be warned and then warned again if it continues. However after the second warning the user will be banned for a week and all advertisements post or thread involving the spam will be deleted!

Do not pose as a staff member - It doesn't matter what the title is; if it is not you then don't pose as one. Anyone who is caught posing as a Guild Master/Mistress, Administrator or Moderator will be banned.

Read all stickies and announcements - Read all marked threads and announcements before posting. They are for your benefit!

Do not give your password out to anyone - Do not give your account password or any password out. Not even to a staff member. I repeat: DO NOT give out your passwords!

Do not ask to be a staff member - These people were selected for a reason. DO NOT PM anybody about a position as an Admin. If you are lucky, you may be chosen as an Admin or a Moderator.

Signing Rules – Yes! Here you MUST sign all the rules put across to you. The rules include “The Laws of Borghild” and the “C-Box Agreement”. The Laws must be formally agreed to before any role playing is permitted (especially if your application has been accepted). And the C-Box Agreement must be signed before any use of the C-Box is permitted.

Do not ask people to join your site in a PM - We have an affiliation board for that! If you feel that your site is really great and it is approved by the staff, then you will be hosted as an affiliate.

Don't Argue with the Staff - We work our butts off for this site to run smoothly. We don't do all that work just so you can spit in our faces. If you argue with our rules and decisions, you might just find yourself banned.

Do not post threads appreciating yourself - Threads such as the Smiles Movement on Final Prophecy or about your day or stating why you are leaving etc. are allowed, however, threads started by you, saying you should be appreciated, be it "Bow down before me" or something else are not allowed. Please note that threads like the Smiles Movement, thanking a certain member for their contribution, were not started by the member it is thanking. We have little tolerance for this. These threads shall be deleted immediately and consider yourself lucky if you are not also banned.

The Magic Word – This is the last thing you need for your application. You MUST have the magic word before your application is accepted (regardless of the content of your application.
